Cho'lpon Ergash entered the press scene in the 70s. His first poem was published in the "O'zbekiston" journal. As we observe the poet's poems, we encounter feelings free from excessive shouting, characterized by a heavy, calm, and "there is more than meets the eye" style.
Biography
Cho'lpon Ergash was born in 1937 in the city of Osh, in the neighboring Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
His childhood was difficult, coinciding with the hardships of the war era. He started working at age eight and only went to school at age nine. He also fulfilled his military service.
In the 60s, he came to Tashkent and graduated from a cultural-educational technical school. Then he entered the Institute of Theatre and Fine Arts.
After finishing it in 1965, he did not head for the stage but towards the press, and began practicing poetry.
